Make every breath count - Ezekiel 18:4 (GW)

February 13, 2011

Ezekiel 18:4 (GW) The life of every person belongs to me. Fathers and their children belong to me…

Since I asked the Lord to do a makeover of my life I can see life through spiritual eyes. I am by no means perfect, but I am not the person who wasted years being bitter because I thought I was better. Nor am I the person who was easily offended, and I am especially not the person who made relationships complicated. Life is too short.

Over the last month someone younger than me passed away. My sister got terribly ill. This week my mother has been ill and I can see and feel her anxiety. My ministry for Christ happens to be in settings where I minister to very ill people. Illness and death live around my life all the time, they always have. I have a keen awareness of how short our earthly life is and I have made a pledge to myself to be on purpose each day that I am blessed with the breath of life.

How is your spiritual life? Are you connected to the true source of life?
